Meta data for the image is extracted from the filename, based on a meaningful yet cryptic file naming convention used by the Graphics department. The solution locates the master file and adds a hyperlink to large file. Meta data is indexed by SharePoint Enterprise Search, making the file easily findable using its Meta data facets. The user can then download the file from the ftp server through his browser by clicking a link.
  • Custom list for regular expressions used to decrypt file names and create human readable Meta data
  • Event handlers to extract human-readable Meta data from cryptic name of uploaded files and tag the FTP location of the master file.
